my son is a very reluctant (slow) reader. He resist reading. He is half way through 2nd grade in K12. He read all of these books within the first 24 hours of having them and wants me to order more. His younger sister loves them too.
I can't say that I am overly impressed by their content and story lines. But if reading about pirates is what gets him reading with enjoyment, I am okay.
Ordering the Lost Island set and some other books put out by Blue Star Education.
