This is a great curriculum find for my high-functioning autistic students. They are not auditory learners, thus I am always looking for materials in which visual learners can be successful. Each book in this series presents lessons they can read (i.e. visual lessons), which are followed by an appropriate comprehension assignment. This allows them to experience studying and learning more independently, which is a skill they will need to have going forward.
My only disappointment is that I wish there were also a book with shorter reading selections for 2nd grade only!

Great product but I just wished there were more linking words, pronouns and conjunctions in the text.
