Description
Challenge students to join forces to find solutions to real-world problems with MainSTREAM Science. This program weaves together Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math seamlessly. Each kit focuses on one Project-Based Learning challenge in which students band together to find a solution to the problem.
Inclusive Playgrounds Grades 3–4
Students are faced with the challenge of designing and building a model of an "inclusive" playground for their community. In this project promoting the importance of social awareness and inclusivity, students will use the Zip Line Racer STEM Starter packs as a stepping stone for making their own accessible community playground.
Contents of Each Kit
- Teacher Resource Book with teacher instructions, background information, and student resources
- 30 Copies of the Student Resource Book which contains all the student reproducibles from the Teacher Resource Book including background information pages, activity sheets, assessments, recording sheets, journal pages, and much more
- 6 Stem Starter Packs that provide students with essential tools to complete the hands-on projects. The materials can be used to design and execute a project using creative exploration and the engineering design process.
