Product Description
This lesson is designed to teach students the basic structure and language of poems as well as techniques used in writing poetry. Students will learn to differentiate between a poem and a paragraph, the structure and language of poems and the difference between a metaphor and a simile.
Typical activities within this flipchart include:
- Poem or paragraph? Can your students differentiate between the two with our interactive activity?
- It's rhyming time! Learn how to use rhymes within poems and guess which words rhyme with what.
- Metaphors and similies - does your class know the difference?
To use these products, you must have ActivInspire software (personal or professional edition). They work best on a Promethean interactive whiteboard with facilities for printing and sound.
