I love this book! It was exactly what I needed. I only need one that allows me to track assignments for each of my 5 classes. I take roll and do lesson planning all online, so a traditional book didn't suit my needs. I LOVE that all of the pages are perforated next to the list of names--I can just fold that part over when it's time for the next grading period with fresh assignments. There is plenty of room for me to write in the description for each assignment...I could go on. I do like the extra pages for notes and planning in case I need to record other things. I have used several different grade books over the years, mostly because I can never find one that works best. I FOUND IT! I am planning to buy more for the next year so I don't have to search anymore. Thanks TCR!!

This is nearly THE perfect combination gradebook-planner for SECONDARY ED teachers in particular. I've found nothing else on the market that compares, and I've used it for 2 years. Sales of this thing would soar if only 2 changes could be made. FIRST, as another reviewer mentioned, there needs to be a bigger, more appropriate spot to write the number of the day in the planner (as for instance March 26, 27, 28, etc.). SECONDLY, my front cover tore off the spiral both years, so I ended up having to make a duct-tape spine, which didn't allow me to fold the book over itself so as to be able to hold it nicely with 1 hand while writing in it with the other. THUS, the second stellar change that would totally sell me on it is that it needs at least an 8- or 10-mil thick laminated front/back cover. Even if I can't personalize it, that would be fine. This planner would then be worth FAR more than the few comprehensive $30-40 combination gradebook-planners on the market.
