I found the reading level to be right on target for my third grade tutoring students ( I am a retired third grade teacher who tutors reading and math 3rd through 5th grades) and I also found some of the activities to be useful. However, the questions that accompany the stories are over simplified and do not require higher level thinking. The biggest problem I found is lack of editing! There is one worksheet that deals with Prefixes and the headings on the accompanying worksheet had the headings in the wrong columns. Plus, the one heading that obviously should have said "Prefixes" actually said "Suffixes".
