I received my calendar as a gift and I love the way it looks on the small shelf by my desk. I use the quotes each day for my fourth graders' handwriting practice. I write the quote and the creator on the board. The students write it in cursive and we discuss meanings of new vocabulary words, the meaning of the quote, and apply both to our everyday lives. Then we look up the person that made the quote on the Internet and discover ENDLESS opportunities to learn something. This project has lasted between 5 and 50 minutes.
