Each title has a CD that provides 50 reading passages (25 fiction/25 nonfiction) and 101 "drag and drop" activities to reinforce learning in comprehension, vocabulary, story maps, and more. The standards-based activities come in three different formats: matching, sorting, and sequencing.
These "fully interactive" products are more than just "whiteboard friendly" or "whiteboard compatible." Because they are "fully interactive," they have these 3 distinct characteristics:
1) They require students to take action, dragging and dropping bits of information into place.
2) The activities are self-correcting, providing immediate feedback to the student, with or without the benefit of teacher involvement. Thus they are ideal for learning centers and individual computers as well as whiteboards.
3) The products have been developed to work on ALL interactive whiteboards, including but not limited to SMART, Promethean, Mimio, Starboard, Hitachi.

Good but could be better with minor tweaks

I purchased this and use it on a Promethean board with my struggling 1st and 2nd graders. I like the short, easy passages and the interactive activities. The only thing I really would like to see is what skill goes with each activity. In order to know if it matches a skill I am teaching that week, I have to click through each activity. Even just a printable table of contents with that would be great! Otherwise, it's a great product that gets a lot of use!
