Objective

Students learn about Native American culture.

Directions

Discuss with students the important role of Native Americans in the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Use this activity to further study the Native American culture then and today.
If possible, get a guest basket weaver to teach an art lesson for the students.
Emphasize the time frame of the story at the top of the page. Discuss how changes in Native American culture are ongoing today.
