Teacher Created Resources: Lesson Planner
Please select the software package that you want to update by clicking on one of the links below.
Please note that these files are compressed as zip archives. You will need to unzip your download before you will be able to install your fonts. If your operating system does not have a utility built in to unzip archives, you may need to download one.
Special Instructions for Windows XP
Unzip the zipped file, ensuring that "include folder names" option is checked. The location you chose to uninstall to should now have a file called setup.exe along side a Teacher Created Resources\lesson planner v2 folder.
Launching Setup.exe copies the Teacher Created Resouces folder to c:\Program Files\Teacher Created Resouces by default, and places the app in the Start Menu.
Directions for updating from version 1 to version 2
- When the new version installs, it will create a folder called Teacher Created Resources. This is different than the first version, which installed in a folder call Teacher Created Materials. In the Teacher Created Resources folder, you will see a folder called Lesson Planner. The name may also contain the version (v2) and the operating system (OSX).
- Make sure Lesson Planner is not running!
- Move the old Lesson Planner folder found in Teacher Created Materials into the import folder in the new Lesson Planner folder found in Teacher Created Resources. MOVE THE WHOLE FOLDER! Do not move the loose files.
- IMPORTANT! Rename the folder you just moved to "Lesson Planner" (without the quotes). It must be an exact match or the import will not work.
- Launch Lesson Planner. On the main screen, you will see a button to import your version 1 schedules, lesson plans, and standards. Click the button and say yes to the prompt if you have moved the folder as indicated in the above step.
- Your old records should now be available. You can delete or backup your old version of Lesson Planner.
