Description
Teacher-directed lessons and independent student activities focus on the five key elements of reading as identified by the National Reading Panel: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
The activities target standards in these areas:
- phonemic awareness
- categorizing words
- recognition and manipulation of sounds in written language
- making predictions
