50+ School Fonts Installation Instructions

Macintosh System Requirements:

Mac OS 8.x or higher.

Installation Instructions:

Macintosh OS 8.x or 9.x Users

  1. Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive.
  2. When the CD icon appears on the desktop, double-click it to open the CD-ROM.
  3. Click on the folder for your operating system.
  4. Click on the Installer.
  5. Follow the prompts on the screen to install.

Installing Fonts for Mac OS X Users

Mac OS X allows you to make fonts available to a single user account on your computer, or to all user accounts on your computer.

To make the fonts available to all users:

  1. Double click on your hard drive icon. You should see these folders listed: Applications, Library, System and Users.
  2. Open the Library folder.
  3. Open the Fonts folder.
  4. Open the CD-ROM containing the School Fonts by double clicking on it. This should open a new window.
  5. Open the Fonts folder on the CD-ROM.
  6. Drag the contents of the folder on the CD-ROM to the open Fonts folder on your computer. If you have a previously installed version of the School Fonts on your computer, you may be prompted to replace the file.
  7. Restarting the computer and/or any open applications should make the fonts available for use on your system.

To make the fonts available to a single user:

  1. Log in as the user who will have access to the fonts.
  2. Double click on your hard drive icon. You should see these folders listed: Applications, Library, System and Users.
  3. Open the Users folder.
  4. Open the folder for the logged in user (in OS X, this user's folder will have a house icon, indicating it is the user's home folder).
  5. Open the Library folder.
  6. Open the Fonts folder.
  7. Open the CD-ROM containing the School Fonts by double clicking on it. This should open a new window.
  8. Open the Fonts folder on the CD-ROM.
  9. Drag the contents of the folder on the CD-ROM to the open Fonts folder on your computer. If you have a previously installed version of the School Fonts on your computer, you may be prompted to replace the file.
  10. Restarting the computer and/or any open applications should make the fonts available for use on your system.

Note: The name of each font in this collection is preceded by the letters "LD" or "LDJ" in your font list. These are all names given by the company that created these fonts (Lettering Delights).
